Carlo Mancini - I discovered Yoga at the age of 18 when I moved to Rome. I cannot forget my first lesson and how light and powerful it made me feel. I got a lot from my first teacher in Rome as he opened me to this way of seeing the world.
My interest came first from a postural perspective.
I am my own case study as I had severe scoliosis which was diagnosed at the age of 15.
Through exercise and dedication to correct my posture I have now reduced my condition to a mild scoliosis.
After studying and living in Rome for almost 7 years, I moved to London where physical jobs and a hectic lifestyle brought back aches, neck pain, emotional blockages. In those years I had the feeling of falling apart.
Having experienced the difference, I decided to starting practice regularly again and after a while I decided to go to India to train and embrace this way of living.
I have been trained at Aksi school with a classical curriculum (200h TTC) This includes pranayama and meditation alongside Hatha. I met Yogi Ashokananda in London and follow his classes in Himalayan Hatha mostly and his teaching overall. I have completed a Prana Kriya yoga 200 h TTC. I have a broader interest for the philosophy and discipline and got certified in Ayurvedic Massage .
I am registered with the Yoga Alliance professional UK and currently share classes in south London regularly and occasionaly in Italy.
