Yogiville India is a comprehensive site for travellers, retreat guests, training groups and day visitors. Yogiville includes a variety of accommodations, kitchen, indoor, outdoor and open dining areas (Ananda Kitchen), purpose built yogashala in the round, Yajnashala for self-practice or smaller group practice, Buddha Bowl – Meditation Dome, Temple area, swimming pool, Neuroprana Wellness Centre with Ayurvedic treatments, farmland, orchards, cows and goshalas, roaming footpaths, hammock areas, a gift shop, charity projects including a Primary School, Sita Devi Charity School, on adjacent property.
Yogiville India is over 13 acres of land on the outskirts of the temple town of Tiruvannamalai, a major pilgrimage destination in Tamil Nadu and at the base of the holy Mt Arunachala, “Fire Mountain of Wisdom”, recognised by many as the spiritual heart of the world. We are blessed with constant views of Mt Arunachala and uninterrupted views of the stunning sunrises kissing the sky as we start each day.
At the heart of othe site, is the yogashala purpose buit in the round and open to the elements for group and individual yoga practices. Complementing the yogashala, you will find the Meditation Dome, a stone structure 7 levels into the earth and equidistance from ground to the centre of the dome, a magical place for mediation, self reflection, chanting or simple peace and quiet. The Yajnashala is a smaller practice area for self practice or smaller group practice and the temple area for meditation, Bhakti Yoga, Puja ceremonies and quiet contemplation. There are a variety of accommodations available for all budgets, central areas for gathering, communing, cooking and eating in our open dining areas or relaxing by the swimming pool. The Neuroprana Wellness Centre offers a full range of Ayurvedic treatments for healing, relaxing and restoring. Plenty of opportunities to wander onsite enjoying the farmland, orchards, cows and goshalas, roaming footpaths, hammock areas, a gift shop. Guests are welcome to observe or participate in the Yogi Ashokananda Foundation charity projects including the Primary School, Sita Devi Charity School, on adjacent property and the daily food program.
