The comfort zone, a common barrier to personal growth

A lack of personal growth leads to stagnation and decreased life satisfaction.

Spirituality can become a comfort zone, making you feel happy and safe. Yet stepping out can be terrifying. Let me share a story about a frog living happily in a well. One day, the frog ended up in a bucket outside the well. Though frightened, it slowly got out and found a nearby pond, which was much bigger. The frog was thrilled. Later, rain flooded the pond. The frog ended up in a canal, then a river. This little frog’s life kept evolving and transforming, just like many spiritual journeys.
Sometimes, you may settle comfortably, like the frog in its well. When life pushes you out, challenges will come, but you might also reach new places, like the stream. Growth should not be limited. Change often brings insecurity. Holding on to these insecurities can make it hard to accept new possibilities. When practising yoga and meditation, stay open. Always express gratitude, remain humble, and embrace new opportunities. Do not limit your growth.
