When I was a kid, I watched my grandfather practicing yoga. He dedicated 3 to 4 hours each morning to his practice, rising early before everyone else. I would observe him and was fascinated by the movements he performed. I recall never seeing him struggle or fight to hold a posture. There was such ease in his body and mind, along with a deep acceptance of his own abilities. It wasn’t about how many complicated poses he could achieve; it was about the balance he exhibited in his body.
For me, every time I practice asanas, it is essential to connect with my body, to feel the energy and prana flowing through me, and to understand the inner calm that brings clarity to my mind. The frequency and vibration of my body are important aspects of my practice.
